My New Year Resolution - An Essay Sample

My New Year Resolution - An Essay SampleMy New Year resolution is to improve my essays. It is not a matter of writing every day or more, but it is a way to keep me in touch with what I am doing right and what I can do better. This essay has some strategies for improving my essay. It was not too long ago that I read this book that focused on The Power of Writing and I did see some advice in the book. The book was written by Sherry Turkle, which is a professor of Educational Psychology at MIT. She is best known for her research into how writing affects the brain. The research she has done on how writing affects the brain has helped her to devise an approach to make writing more appealing to the reader. In her book, she describes what she calls The Rule of Fluency, which is an easy process to use as a guide for improving your essay. Here is her formula for writing a great essay. There are three parts to this formula: language, content and rhythm. The first two are things that you can contr ol and the third is completely in your hands. The main reason for this is because everything has to flow together. As you are creating each paragraph, write all of the main words in the first paragraph. To keep the reader interested, start with a statement that the main idea or concept behind the essay will be that more information will be revealed once the main words are completed. When you get to the second paragraph, begin the actual main idea or concept by using those main words. The third paragraph is the part that does the explaining.Once the second paragraph is done, do not forget to use the summary of the entire essay so that you can reach the reader in a short way. Use these paragraphs to move on to the next paragraph. If you have completed the entire paragraph before your eyes, then your last paragraph should be a brief summary. A major goal in writing a good essay is to make sure that each paragraph flows together and is of high quality. You are not trying to impress the re ader, only to enlighten them. Before you know it, the reader will be absorbing your words and you will have advanced them in thought. Remember, your main goal is to convey your ideas through the writing and the reader is the final audience. The conclusion should conclude the entire piece and give the reader the feeling that they were given just enough information to know more. All you are trying to do is make them understand what they need to know. That is the purpose of an essay.
